What a busy weekend!

Thanks to everyone who came out the Bust Magazine Holiday Craftacular in Manhattan  and Bazaar Bizarre Boston yesterday! Two great events, and lots more warm hands in the Northeast.  My apologies to anyone trying to shop for mittens on Supermarket - my store is currently empty, but please check back in a few days for new postings.   Please also see the updated stores list to the right for some great old fashioned retail locations.  In addition, you can find my wares at the Tiverton Holiday Flea on Main St. in Tiverton, RI, in the former Toy Box space, next to The Cottage.  Get 'em while they last.

Hello all! The days are getting colder and shorter, which means your hands must be chilly! For the next 2 Sundays, 10-4, you can find me at the SOWA Open Market in Boston's South End, on Harrison Avenue.

And you can walk off Thanksgiving dinner at the Hatch St. Holiday Sale, at the Hatch St. Studios, 88 Hatch St., New Bedford, MA. I'll be in #306.

New Mittens Are Here!

Unbelievably soft, dense cashmere. The buttons are covered with vintage floral linen.

These are lambswool with hand-covered jersey buttons, and that blue leather is extra soft.

the mitten factory's interweb debut

so now that I've got pictures on the internet, it means I actually exist, right? and so do the mittens...handmade from recycled wool and leather, adorned at the wrist with buttons hand covered in recycled (mostly) fabrics. each pair is one of a kind, and color availability varies - pleases inquire!


perfect for driving, making snowballs, clapping, holding cups? keeps the wrist warm, looks darn good doing it. lambswool, angora blends, merino wool, and cashmere, felted just enough. the stripes shown here are lambswool, with chocolate brown leather palms, and orange grosgrain buttons.



these are cashmere, with purple (that's right, purple!) leather palms, and lilac grosgrain buttons. unfortunately both were sold just after these photos were taken!



a few more buttons...corduroy floral, herringbone velvet (also available in pink) and brown and white floral cotton (my current favorite).
